How to Use Rose Water for Healthy Skin

Roses, known to signify love and beauty with their unmistakeably alluring scent and soft petals, are also rich in properties that can do wonders for your skin!

On a whim this week I started using some rose water I originally bought for a recipe regularly in my skin care routine, and in just a day's time I have noticed a difference! I daresay that unlike before, my skin feels much like a rose petal.

Why does it work?

Rose water, a natural astringent, tightens the pores and smooths the skin without

drying it out due to its moisturizing properties. Because of its natural containment of antioxidents, it is an anti-aging agent. It is also an anti-inflammatory that can soothe the skin, and its antibacterial properties can help fight acne.

How can I use it?

Applying rose water with a clean cottonball after washing your face and before moisturizing every morning and night, you are sure to see an improvement in the look and texture of your skin's surface. The scent is also great for promoting relaxation.

Where can I find it?

Rose water can be found at many grocery stores or purchased online. Beware of overpriced rose water sold as a beauty product. You can find a much more cost-effective option when you purchase it as a cooking ingredient.

Love your skin,

Abigail
