How to Dress for a Flight

Traveling from coast to coast and across seas to far-off places, I've come to truly appreciate dressing for practicality and comfort as well as for style. Here are my top 5 tips for travel wear:

(1) Choose a bottom that has a little stretch to the material. This keeps you comfortable throughout your flight and wrinkle-free for when you arrive at your destination.

(2) Keep warm with a scarf and cardigan (even in hot months the plane can be chilly!).

(3) Flats are easy to slip off and back on at security checkpoints and don't kill your feet while standing in security, coffee, boarding or bathroom lines or when locating your departure gate. Wear footies if you don't like the idea of walking barefoot through security.

(4) Earrings are a great way to dress up the outfit, but necklaces, on the other hand, can be a hassle when going through security or handling luggage.

(5) While a high ponytail can keep your hair out of the way, it can be your worst enemy when you're trying to comfortably get some rest on a long flight. Choose a hairstyle that allows you to rest your head with ease.

Happy travels, friends!
